AHFA Names 2016’s Introduces 5 Hall of Fames Members

As part of their yearly tradition, the American Home Furnishing Alliance (AHFA) recently announced the latest additions to their hall of fame.

The induction will be held Oct. 23 during the High Point Market trade shows for the furniture industry.

Five Most Respected Industry Leaders

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame currently has 103 members. But soon, John Bray, (Vanguard Furniture), Robert B. Currey (Storehouse Inc. and Curry & Company), Art DeFehr (Palliser Furniture Upholstery Ltd.), Richard Frinier (Richard Frinier Design Studio), and Robert Ching Wo  (C.S. Wo & Sons) who are all seasoned chairman and CEOs will join the prestigious hall of individuals.

Warmest Welcomes and Distinction

The entire AHFA Board Directors fully supports everyone on the list this year. They would like to extend their sincerest congratulation the latest honorees and recognized master craftsmen.

According to the president of the alliance’s Hall of Fame Foundation Inc., Michael Amini:

“This list of respected individuals that we announce today clearly demonstrates how carefully the Selection Committee approaches their responsibility to diligently search across all segments of our industry for those individuals who most deserve to receive the industry’s highest honor.

The seven committee members are dedicated to investing dozens of hours to thoroughly vet our leaders and pioneers to identify the most deserving inductees.”

The Selection Process

In the world of home furnishing industry, there’s no known way to qualify for the Hall of Fame status other hard work and proven excellence.

The board committee chooses the inductees based on their undeniable contributions to the landscape, growth, development, and continuity culture of the furnishings industry in America. The selection committee, which comprises of three other hall of fame member and four representatives from the industry partakes in this process.

Each candidate Hall of Fame is appraised via the four core criteria of the alliance:

  1. Enduring excellence
  2. Superior accomplishments
  3. Innovation and creativity; and
  4. Philanthropic generosity

The results of tabulation are strictly tabulated and performed by CPA Ken Fulp in collaboration with the alliance’s accounting firm.

2nd Announced Induction Celebration

Typically, the announcement of the inductees won’t happen until the induction celebrating, making this year’s momentous event more special than the previous ones.

By announcing the names of the new Hall of Fame members, the alliance hopes to accommodate more guests for this highly acclaimed celebration. The induction will be held at the Sheraton Greensboro Four Seasons.

According to the alliance, the evening will center on appreciating the inspirational and incomparable efforts of these individuals to the industry and to show the power and influence of the largest Hall of Fame foundation of the furnishing industry in the country.
